Toulouse-Lautrec Jigsaw Puzzles

Painter, Draughtsman, Illustrator, Poster artist and Litographer

Count Henri Marie Raymond de Toulouse-Lautrec-Monfa, commonly known as Toulouse-Lautrec, was a French artist. Born into the French aristocracy, Toulouse-Lautrec broke both his legs as a teenager and, due to a disease that resulted in stunted growth and a poor healing of his fractures, he remained very small as an adult. In addition to his alcoholism, he had a taste for brothels and prostitutes which became the topic of many of his artworks reproducing many details of the bohemian lifestyle of late 19th century Paris. Toulouse-Lautrec is one of the painters described as post-impressionist, along with Paul Cézanne, Vincent van Gogh, Paul Gauguin and Georges Seurat. His early painting of a young laundress, La Blanchisseuse, sold for 22.4 million US dollars at a Christie's auction in 2005.

Birth : 24 November 1864 in Albi, France.
Death : 9 September 1901 (aged 36) in Saint-André-du-Bois, France.
